Karoga apraksts
„Taisnstūra audums ar divām vienāda platuma horizontālām joslām: augšējā josla ir melnā, apakšējā – sarkanā krāsā. Karoga laukuma centrā attēlots krāsains Jēkabpils pilsētas ģerbonis, kura augstums ir 3/5 no karoga platuma.
Karoga platuma attiecības pret garumu ir 1:2 un tā izmēri var būt 1m × 2m vai 1,5m × 3m. Standarta izmēri ir 14cm × 28cm.“[1]
Ģerboņa heraldiskais apraksts
„Sudraba laukā zaļa egle uz tādas pašas pamatnes; priekšā ejošs lūsis dabiskās krāsās.“[2]
Nolikums par Jēkabpils pilsētas karogu apstiprināts domes sēdē 1999. gadā.
