Istoricul obiectului
Deutsch: Das von Willy „Horsa“ Lippert entworfene Wappen des Kreises Nordfriesland wurde am 10. Juli 1972 vom Innenministerium des Landes Schleswig-Holstein genehmigt. Das Wappen fußt auf dem Wappen von 1959 welches einem Siegel von 1613 des alten Kreises Eiderstedt entstammt. Das in den friesischen Farben Blau, Gold und Rot gehaltene Wappen entstand nach der Zusammenlegung der drei Kreise Südtondern, Husum und Eiderstedt. Die drei Koggen symbolisieren dabei sowohl die friesische Einheit als auch die Bedeutung, welche das Meer und und die Schifffahrt für den Kreis hatten. Pflug und Stierkopf stehen für die Landwirtschaft, der Fisch für den Fischfang. Pflug und Stierkopf waren bereits Symbole des Eiderstedter Wappens, und der Pflug des Husumer Wappens. Der Fisch (Sylter Hering) ist auch als ein Symbol der Insel Sylt anzusehen.
English: The arms were granted on July 10, 1972. They based on the arms of the former Eiderstedt district. The sailboats (cogs) differ from the old arms in that the plow is a symbol of the former Husum district, the fish is slightly changed and represents the typical herring of the island of Sylt in the former Südtondern district. The bull head is still a symbol for Eiderstedt.
