Public domain This image is in the public domain in Denmark because the Danish Consolidated Act on Copyright of 2010 specifies (§91, 5) that all photographic images not considered to be "photographic works" that were created before 1 January 1970 are exempt from protection (details).

  2. it was first published before 1 March 1989 without copyright notice or before 1964 without copyright renewal or before the source country established copyright relations with the United States,
  3. it was in the public domain in its home country (Danemarca) on the URAA date (1 January 1996).

This official photo of Prime Minister was taken no later than 1955. PD status in Denmark since 1981, as it falls under the transitional regulations of the Danish copyright act (§ 91, section 5),[1] limiting copyright protection of non-artistic works created before 1 Jan 1970 to 25 years (which corresponds to the the rules of Denmark's former Photography Act).
