Dr. Taylor and his three associates were remarkablemen. They were as remarkable in their differences fromone another as they were in their individual mentalgifts. He was dogmatic, not in a badsense, but in a good sense. But he made it manifest, in everydiscussion, that in his own mind he had passed throughthe entire domain of the subject, and that the difficultieswhich might be troublesome to those who presentedthem had been already met and set aside in his personalthinking.
