English: Forn Sed: Norse cult images at a Yule Feast.
The picture shows a table with assembled Norse cult images at a Yule Feast held by the two Gothenburg kindreds Godthiod and UrNaud at 19 December 2009 at Hisingen Island, Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden. In the back row there are a painting depicting the sun-goddess Sol or Sunna, and two wooden carvings of Odin (Óðinn) and Frey (Freyr). In the middle row there are the three Norns (Urðr, Verðandi, and Skuld) and five smaller carvings (the first of the five is actually the Slavic god Svetovid with his four faces). In the front row there is a red-painted carving of the thunder-god Thor (Þórr). In front of the cult images are a red candle and two ceremonial hammers. Godthiod was a kindred within the Swedish Asatru Assembly (now called Forn Sed Sweden) and most participants was (or are) members of the Swedish Asatru Assembly too.

Bilden visar ett bord med uppställda nordiska gudabilder vid det gemensamma julgille som Göteborgs-blotlagen Godthiod och UrNaud höll 2009-12-19 i en hyresgästlokal på Hisingen i Göteborg i Västra Götaland, Sverige. I bakre raden ses från vänster en tavla föreställande gudinnan Sol eller Sunna och två träskulpturer föreställande gudarna Oden och Frö (Frej). I den mellersta raden ses från vänster en bräda med de tre nornorna (Urd, Verdandi och Skuld, dock i omdiskuterad ordning på brädan), samt fem mindre gudabilder i trä (den första av de fem är faktiskt den slaviska guden Svantevit med sina fyra ansikten). Den främre raden utgörs av en ensam, rödmålad Torsbild i trä. Framför gudabilderna står ett stearinljus flankerat av två ceremonihammare. Godthiod var ett blotlag inom Sveriges asatrosamfund (numer kallat Samfundet Forn Sed Sverige) och de flesta gillesdeltagarna var (eller är) medlemmar i samfundet. |
