Descriere

The Turkish Parliament passed the "the law of prohibited garment" on December 3, 1934. The law targeted religion-based clothing for men such as the turban (sarık) and robe (cübbe) in public, Atatürk's Reforms. The video shows the niqāb (peçe / peçeli) women. The government did not interfere with women's clothing, but some municipalities have banned the niqāb.
