Istoricul obiectului

Deutsch: Im ersten Drittel des 13. Jahrhunderts kam das Gebiet um Windsheim vom Hochstift Würzburg an das Reich. Windsheim wurde um 1280 zur Stadt erhoben. König Adolf verpfändete die Stadt von 1297 bis 1303 an den Bischof von Würzburg. Von 1325 gehörte die Stadt - mit einer kurzen Unterbrechung - bis 1360 den Burggrafen von Nürnberg. Aus dem Jahr 1303 ist der Abdruck eines Siegels überliefert, der bereits 1284 erwähnt wurde. Er zeigt einen thronenden König mit einem Adlerschild. In einem Sekret aus dem 14. Jahrhundert steht der thronende König allein im Schild, in einem Gerichtssiegel von 1398 ist der Adler allein im Schild. Farbige Abbildungen sind seit etwa 1500 überliefert, sie zeigen den schwarzen Adler mit goldener Bewehrung in silbernem Feld. Im 18. Jahrhundert ist die Bewehrung rot. Seit Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts erscheint der Großbuchstabe W auf der Brust. Das Wappen wurde 1818 in dieser Form bestätigt. Später stand der Großbuchstabe in einem kleinen Schild, die Farben waren unsicher. Die Stadt legte die Form und die Farben 1965 fest. Seit 1961 trägt die Stadt den Zusatz „Bad“ im Ortsnamen.

English: Windsheim was already an imperial city in the 13th century and the oldest seal dates from the late 13th century. It already showed a shield with the Imperial Eagle in front of a throne with a King. Since the 14th century the seals only showed the Imperial Eagle, with or without a shield. In the early 19th century the letter W, the city's initial was added. In 1818 the arms were officially granted. Later in the 19th century the W was placed on a small breastshield. In the early 20th century the breastshield was removed again. In 1965 the city council redifined form and tinctures of the blazon.
