Translating the English article

modificare

I saw you copied the English article. In case you have people who speak German it might be better to translate the German version from de:roman - as the history of words is parallel here: Romanians speak of "romanului" as Germans speak of "Romane" - The English have continued with "novel" as they accepted the novella as the central genre. Both articles have been written by the same author and share the basic information (Olaf Simons)

I have nobody speaking Geramn around me, but I hope the translation will be close to the original text. I tried to use the appropriate Romanian terms for "romance" and for "novel', for ecach period of time. I studied both English and Romanian literature and, as I said, I hope it'll be O.K. The problem is we don't have a Romanian author to have written about the entire history of the novel. We only use translations. Thanks a lot for your advice. If I'll find a good speaker of German I'll ask for his/her opinion. thanks again!
