Hello, I'm from Germany an do not speak romanian. I hope you can understand me. I looked over the article and noticed that it is not told from where the Logo comes. For this I would recomend you the article which I wrote on Friday: de:VVB Werkzeugmaschinen und Werkzeuge. Maybe someone can read this (p.e. with Babelfish or sth. else) and add the information to the article. Greets from Germany -- Lord van Tasm (discuție) 18 iulie 2011 17:57 (EEST)Răspunde

In Short Words: the Logo of WMW was the Logo of the Union of nationally-owned enterprises for machine tool and tool production (german: VVB WMW - Vereinigung Volkseigener Betriebe Werkzeugmaschinen und Werkzeuge) in the former German Democratic Republic untin 1990. For this it was well known worldwide and associated with high quality tools and machine tools. After the breakdown of the GDR with the whole Eastern Bloc all companies of the VVB WMW became independent or became bankrupt and no one of them used the Name and the Logo WMW. This went on until 1998 when Mașini Unelte Bacău renamed itself into World Machinery Works and took the unused Logo of WMW because WMW as a Brand hat still very good reputation all over the world. After 2000 the Swiss Starrag Group (de:Starrag Group) gained the right to bear the name and the logo of WMW in all countrys beside Romania. Starrag is the mother company of Heckert which was as VEB Wekrzeugmaschinenkombinat Fritz Heckert the biggest company of the WMW and the bigges machine tool producer of the whole Eastern Block. -- Lord van Tasm (discuție) 28 iunie 2013 14:30 (EEST)Răspunde
