This aerial photograph, taken by German forces on October 26, 1944, shows the city of Timișoara (referred to as "Temeschburg" in German) and its railway infrastructure. Strategic targets are highlighted on the map, including the marshalling yard, fuel depots, and various bridges. Just days after this photograph was taken, on October 31 and November 1, 1944, the city was subjected to an aerial bombing. |
