Deutsch: Der sogenannte Schwanenstein ist ein Findling an der Küste von Lohme, Insel Rügen. Der Stein ist mit einer traurigen Geschichte verknüpft. Am 13. Februar 1956 spielten drei Kinder an der zugefrorenen Küste. Als das Wetter sich zu einem Sturm entwickelte, brach das Eis auf und die Kinder retteten sich auf den Schwanenstein. Örtliche Fischer und Soldaten versuchten, die Kinder vom Stein zu retten. Alle Rettungsversuche scheiterten wegen der extremen Wetterbedingungen. Am nächsten Tag konnten die Kinder nur noch tot vom Felsen geborgen werden. English: The so-called Schwanenstein, a glacial erratic near the village of Lohme on the island of Rügen, Germany. On 13 February 1956, three boys from the village of Lohme were playing by the shore of the frozen sea. The weather changed suddenly, and a storm broke the ice. The boys saved themselves by climbing onto the stone. As the wind turned into a hurricane, local fishermen and border guards tried to save the boys but they failed as the storm was too heavy. The next morning when the weather had calmed, the bodies of the three boys were recovered from the stone.
