Ixodes ornithorhynchi[1] este o specie de căpușe din genul Ixodes, familia Ixodidae, descrisă de Lucas în anul 1846.[3][4] Conform Catalogue of Life specia Ixodes ornithorhynchi nu are subspecii cunoscute.[3]
