Dragi prieteni, scriu în limba engleză deoarece la soluționarea acestei probleme vor contribui vichipediști din alte proiecte.
Dear friends; in the source code of the page ro:Walter Stain you may find "mediaWiki.config.set({"wgCanonicalNamespace": "", ..., "wgArticleId": 734980, ...)". At the corresponding German article de:Walter Stain you can find ""wgArticleId": 2573324.
I am a newbee with regard to "template:Normdaten". What I did understand so far: The page at toolserver.org may list today three url aliases "URLs zu dieser Seite: http://toolserver.org/~apper/pd/person/Walter_Stain, http://toolserver.org/~apper/pd/person/peende/2573324, http://toolserver.org/~apper/pd/person/pnd/117205753."

• pnd/117205753 if the corresponding PND is available (this is the most neutral url)
• peende/2573324 generated by the "wgArticleId" in wp_de: (this is quite stable and will not change if the page is moved)
• Walter_Stain this is {{PAGENAMEE}} at wp:de:

To my understanding the template logic should be changed as follows:

1. if the parameter PND is available a link trailer using "pnd/foo" should be generated automatically
2. else a dedicated parameter should be available for this template which should be appended to "toolserver.org/~apper/pd/person/"; one should use the most international, neutral link trailer.

If "viaf/25373661" would be an alias available at "toolserver.org/~apper/pd/person/" then the linking via the VIAF parameter should have higher priority then the PND parameter.

I spend last years on book catalogs. The "template:Normdaten" contains all required information to generate one of the links

• identities: Arghezi, Tudor 1880-1967 (or wcidentities: Arghezi, Tudor 1880-1967)
• identities: Eminescu, Mihai 1850-1889 (or wcidentities: Eminescu, Mihai 1850-1889)

for Tudor Arghezi and Mihail Eminescu. The WorldCat identities are hidden in the "About" section of Arghezi, Tudor, 1880-1967 and Eminescu, Mihai, 1850-1889.
