Kaman Cleaver-Williams (born 15 November 1995), known professionally as Kacey Who, is an English singer, songwriter, record producer, and co-head of conglomerate company 2211MGMT. In 2020, he released his debut single, ‘Confess†’ via his record label, 2211 Recordings, the single marked his entrance into the music industry. His second release, ‘Purple Sprite’ in 2021 saw the artist move from the R&B genre into UK Drill. Later that year he released his debut EP ’27’ containing songs such as ‘Bread’ and ‘Obsessed’.

Early Life

Kaman Jay Cleaver-Williams was born on 15 November 1995 in Reading, England. He attended a variety of High schools and colleges, such as, HighDown High School and Beaminster High School, Richard Huish College and Yeovil College, ICMP London and BIMM Bristol . He is the eldest of two siblings. He began song writing and performing in college and studied both Music Production and Music Performance. He has since graduated with a Degree in Music Technology and Production.

Career

2013—2018: Beginnings and Musical Studies

Kacey Who wrote lyrics as a young teenager and found himself surrounded in the rap battle culture at a young age. His infatuation with music saw him spend many years studying and working on his songwriting and lyrical craft. Kacey Who continued his studies, in 2013 he began his musical academics studying Music Production and Music Performance at ‘Richard Huish College ’ in Taunton. Shortly after in 2015 he focused more intently on his performing and moved to ‘Yeovil College’. In 2016 he moved to Camden, London to continue studying within the ‘Institute of Contemporary Music Performance’. In 2017 he then moved to Bristol to study Music Technologies and Production at the ‘British and Irish Modern Music Institute’.

2019 — Present: Business and Companies

In 2019 he started working on his conglomerate business 2211. He curated and released his clothing line 2211Clothing . In 2020 he then created a producer collective under the alias 2211Beats incorporating a variety of genres, such as, HipHop, Trap, Electronica and Pop. The instrumentals can be leased and listened to through sights such as BeatStars . In 2021 he then incorporated his knowledge of producing, marketing and distributing music, to create the conglomerate 2211MGMT, a one-stop shop for independent and upcoming artists to promote, distribute and market themselves.
