Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 28 November. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 29 November. It will be on all wikis from 30 November (calendar). There is no new MediaWiki version next week. [1][2]
• MediaWiki's JavaScript system will now allow async/await syntax in gadgets and user scripts. Gadget authors should remember that users' browsers may not support it, so it should be used appropriately. [3]
• The deployment of "Add a link" announced last week was postponed. It will resume this week.

• The spacing between paragraphs on Vector 2022 has been changed from 7px to 14px to match the size of the text. This will make it easier to distinguish paragraphs from sentences. [4]

Despre Filipjack2000

Nu am acest la informațiile pe care le aveți despre IP-ul lui @Filipjack2000, însă m-am uitat la toate modificările pe care le a făcut acest cont, și rezultă că:

• toate sunt corecte, și au ameliorat articolele respective.
• aceste modificări necesită o înțelegere a matematicei la un nivel complet diferit nu numai de cel al "fanul relațiilor de ordine".

Deci, pentru mine: fie Filipjack2000 este un troll extrem de sofisticat; fie vă înșelați. Personal, a doua variantă mi se pare mai probabil.

Aș adăuga că, în matematică, acest wiki este plin de (1) erori matematice de bază; (2) de traduceri greșite; (3) absurditate (e.g, linkurile pe dacă și numai dacă în orice articol de matematică). Având asta în vedere, ar fi păcat să speriați unul dintre puținii oameni care au dovedit că au cunoștințe de bază în mate și că au chef să contribuie.

Nu e chiar așa sofisticat. Contul a fost creat imediat după ce am blocat range-ul de IP-uri folosite și editează exact aceleași subiecte, în același stil. În engleză i se zice en:duck test și este considerat suficient pe Wikipedia pentru a lua măsurile administrative care se impun. Strainu (دسستي‎)  10 decembrie 2023 18:31 (EET)

La multe dintre paginile la care am făcut editări singurul care modificase anterior era utilizatorul Turbojet. De fapt indirect prin intermediul dumnealui am găsit erorile respective. Prima pe care am văzut-o era cea de la pagina de Ideal primar, pagină pe care am descoperit-o tocmai căutând informații despre ideale primare (pe care le-am studiat în cadrul cursului de Algebră Comutativă de la master). Apoi m-am plimbat prin istoricul de editări al domnului Turbojet.

De stil nu cunosc ce făcea utilizatorul respectiv, dar deja există o discrepanță dacă domnul @Malparti (care are experiență) este de părere că am avut doar contribuții bune, pe când utilizatorul acela avea contribuții rele.

Din păcate am avut ghinionul să mă înregistrez la un moment neprielnic. Pe deasupra Wikipedia nu le permite utilizatorilor să-și dovedească identitatea (asta mi-a explicat domnul Turbojet), deci sunt și în situația de a nu putea dovedi prea multe.

Cred că singurul mod prin care îmi pot demonstra nevinovăția ar fi să continui să fac modificări bune. Din păcate pe fondul acestor suspiciuni, și mai ales pe fondul avertismentului de nivel 4 pe care l-am primit (deși s-a dovedit că sursele respective sunt reale), îmi este teamă să mai fac vreo modificare.

În plus, săptămâna următoare mă întorc în România, deoarece am vacanță. Plănuiam ca în această vacanță să mă mai ocup de editări. Cred însă că va trebui să-mi anulez aceste planuri, deoarece este prea periculos să mă autentific din România, din cauza IP-ului. Filipjack2000 (discuție) 10 decembrie 2023 19:25 (EET)

@Filipjack2000 Nu aveți nevoie să divulgați informați despre identitatea dumneavoastră, și nu aveți nevoie să dovediți absolut nimic: din ce văd eu — fără acces la jurnalul IP-urilor — contul dumneavoastră nu a făcut decât modificări justificate. Deci, Strainu trebuie să dovedească că sunteți vinovat de ceva; nu dumneavoastră că sunteți nevinovat. Cât despre avertismentul de nivel 4: mie mi se pare abuziv. • Utilizatorul 178.138.xx.xxx făcea modificări care nu prea aveau sens, matematic vorbind (adăugarea de trivialități, de linkuri inutile, de informați neprecise sau greșite — deci, classic crank).

@Strainu Bună. M-am uitat și sursele pe care le a dat @Filipjack2000: (1) există (2) sunt relevante (3) sunt citate în mod corect. Asta e ușor de verificat. Deci, singurul dumneavoastră argument care ar putea fi concluziv este — în mod incontestabil — greșit.

Din ce înțeleg eu, argumentele dumneavoastră suplimentare sunt (1) o coincidență temporală suspectă (2) "așa mi se pare".

• V-am explicat de ce al doilea punct nu prea are rost. Dacă nu aveți cunoștințele specializate necesare pentru a vă forma o opinie despre asta, puteți cere o părere exterioară. Vă trebuie cineva cu, aș zice, un nivel de sfârșit de licență în matematică.
• Despre coincidența temporală, chiar dacă ar fi dovedită, nu ar fi un argument suficient, în sine. Dar nici măcar nu sunt sigur că coincidența este așa "remarcabilă": cât timp a trecut între momentul în care ați blocat range-ul de IPuri și momentul când a fost creat contul. Dacă sunt mai mult de o zi sau maxim doi, eu aș zice că nu există nicio coincidență.

Având asta în vedere, eu sunt de părere că ați greșit — se mai întâmplă — și că lucrul potrivit ar fi să anulați avertismentul pe care l-ați dat, și vă scuzați față de Filipjack (mai ales fiind că e nou-venit).

Am continuat această discuție pe pagina de discuție a lui Andrei (v-am ping-at).

Pe scurt, nu sunt satisfăcut de rezolvarea situației. Am explicat de ce îmi pasă atât de mult, și am rezumat situația privind acuzațiile dumneavoastră către Filipjack. Am încercat să fiu cât se poate de obiectiv și complet, dar poate că am uitat ceva sau că nu am toate datele. Deci dacă-mi corectați, n-o să am o problemă cu asta.

Am continuat discuția pe pagina de discuție a lui Andrei pentru că el s-a ocupat de reclamația lui Filipjack, deci mi s-a părut cel mai logic. Dar — fiindcă presupun că suntem de acord despre faptul că (1) dacă Filipjack este 178.138, trebuie blocat și (2) dacă nu este, trebuie să vă scuzați față de el — avem aceleași interese; așa că nu cred că e nevoie să fiu implicați alți contributori/administratori.

Ați oprit discuția de la cafenea. Atunci o să vă rog să-i explicați dvs. că în logica Wikipediei în lipsa unei surse afirmațiile unui utilizator nu au prioritate față de ale altuia. Adică dacă nici eu, nici el nu aducem vreo sursă, fiecare poate pretinde că versiunea lui este cea corectă. Conform acestei logici eu aș avea dreptul să dau revert la corecțiile lui. Conform politicii WP:VER el nu se poate erija în arbitru care versiune este corectă și care nu.

De asemenea, vă rog să-i explicați că WP:MC nu-i permite să folosească expresii ca „lipsa dumneavoastră de cultură științifică”, „cei dintre noi care nu au trăit într-o peșteră”, „ați încercat să păreți mai deștept decât interlocutorul dumneavoastră și că a dat greș ” sau „săpunul facial off-topic”. Eu nu doresc să intru pe pagina lui de discuții ca să-i pun avertismentele necesare unei reclamații, dar sunt încălcări ale politicilor care nu pot fi lăsate fără reacție, iar el să rămână cu impresia că poate continua în acest stil. Ca de obicei, @Turbojet face un om de paie. Eu nu cred și nu am scris că "în lipsa unei surse afirmațiile unui utilizator au prioritate față de ale altuia". Presupun că se referă la paragraful următor:

Nu contează dacă traduceți un articol sau dacă-l scrieți ex-nihilo: dacă adăugați informații într-un articol, trebuie să demonstrați dumneavoastră că sunt corecte — nu eu. Asta înseamnă că dacă nu aveți o sursă în română, trebuie să demonstrați că traducerea e corectă, nu eu că e incorectă; iar dacă corectez ceva folosind aceeași sursă, traducerea mea are aceeași pondere ca a dumneavoastră.

După cum se vede, sunt două puncte în acest paragraf:

• Ceva despre onus probandi, cu aplicare la traducerile lui Turbojet.
• Afirmația că traducerile mele au aceeași pondere ca ale sale (precizez că vorbim de texte matematice, și mă refer la traducerea conceptelor un mod corect din punctul de vedere logic — nu la gramatică română).

Nu cred că ce am scris sugerează că sunt de părere că "afirmațiile unui utilizator au prioritate față de ale altuia". Poate că Turbojet a avut impresia asta pentru că în trecut am corectat niște greșeli pe care le a făcut. Însă, când eu susțin că o traducere e greșită, explic de ce — și mereu sunt gata să-l fac în detaliu. Un exemplu de asta se poate găsi aici: Discuție:Vector_nul.

Legat de al doilea punct — adică cuvintele grele pe care le am avut. Sunt raportate în mod corect. Însă:

• după mine, nu constitue insulte. Am exprimat păreri grele, dar m-am exprimat în mod civilizat.
• există un context pentru aceste cuvinte. Nu mă duc la Turbojet să-i spun că cred că are o cultură științifică limitată în mod gratuit, sau în fiecare zi. Am spus asta în cadrul unei discuție în care nu mi-a plăcut tonul cu care se adresează unui utilizator nou-venit ("interlocutorul" de mai sus).

În concluzie, nu cred că am încălcat nicio politică a Wikipediei într-un fel care ar justifica intervenția unui administrator.

• On Wikimedia Commons, there are some minor user-interface improvements for the "choosing own vs not own work" step in the UploadWizard. This is part of the Structured Content team's project of improving UploadWizard on Commons. [9][10]

Problems

• There was a problem showing the Newcomer homepage feature with the "impact module" and their page-view graphs, for a few days in early December. This has now been fixed. [11][12]

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 12 December. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 13 December. It will be on all wikis from 14 December (calendar). [13][14]

Future changes

• The next issue of Tech News will be sent out on 8 January 2024 because of the holidays.

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 19 December. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 20 December. It will be on all wikis from 21 December (calendar). There is no new MediaWiki version next week. [15][16]
• Starting December 18, it won't be possible to activate Structured Discussions on a user's own talk page using the Beta feature. The Beta feature option remains available for users who want to deactivate Structured Discussions. This is part of Structured Discussions' deprecation work. [17]
• There will be full support for redirects in the Module namespace. The "Move Page" feature will leave an appropriate redirect behind, and such redirects will be appropriately recognized by the software (e.g. hidden from Special:UnconnectedPages). There will also be support for manual redirects. [18]

Future changes

• The MediaWiki JavaScript documentation is moving to a new format. During the move, you can read the old docs using version 1.41. Feedback about the new site is welcome on the project talk page.
• The Wishathon is a new initiative that encourages collaboration across the Wikimedia community to develop solutions for wishes collected through the Community Wishlist Survey. The first community Wishathon will take place from 15–17 March. If you are interested in a project proposal as a user, developer, designer, or product lead, you can register for the event and read more.

Mulțumesc pentru mesaj. E foarte bine că ați anulat editarile și că ați raportat problema, poate găsesc o metodă să o trimit mai departe. Din păcate nu pot să fac prea multe, face parte din doza normală de fals pozitive. @Minuu888 în primul rând încercați să vedeți dacă e notabil, adică dacă există surse de încredere independente de subiect care-l prezintă în detaliu. Pot fi de ex articole de presă (nu bloguri, forumuri, case de discuri) care vorbesc despre el (dar nu interviuri, care nu sunt independente și nu topuri, care nu îndeplinesc partea cu "în detaliu). Recent changes

• mediawiki2latex is a tool that converts wiki content into the formats of LaTeX, PDF, ODT, and EPUB. The code now runs many times faster due to recent improvements. There is also an optional Docker container you can install on your local machine.
• The way that Random pages are selected has been updated. This will slowly reduce the problem of some pages having a lower chance of appearing. [19]

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 9 January. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 10 January. It will be on all wikis from 11 January (calendar). [20][21]

• New request for comments: Community request for the development team to access inverse properties on client wikis. (Summary: We currently cannot access inverse property values on Wikipedia. This can be a data management issue on Wikipedia as we must always ask ourself if we must introduce an inverse property for cases where we need them. So I think it’s useful to gather the usecases community would want and draft a request for an API to the devteam to do that.)

• Upcoming: The next Wikidata+Wikibase office hours will take place on Wednesday, 16:00 UTC on Wednesday, 17th January 2024 (18:00 Berlin time) in the Wikidata Telegram group. • The Surrounding Ocean (available at vrandezo.github.io/TheSurroundingOcean) - is a tool that allows you to browse lexicographical data. You can use the tool to explore words and their meanings, translations, and synonyms.
